ABOUT US

We are a modern, medium sized, working farm situated on the High Weald in West Sussex. The farm is approximately 580 acres plus woodland. Two thirds of the farm produces high quality cereal grains (Bread Wheat, Milling Oats and Grain Maize), the remainder of the farm is grassland used to produce high quality equine Haylage and for grazing a flock of 250 pedigree Lleyn ewes and their lambs.

The management policy of the farm is aimed at combining the efficient production of high quality produce with a commitment to conserving the nature and fabric of the High Weald landscape, flora and fauna. To this end the farm has signed up to a Countryside Stewardship agreement which commits us to replanting over 3000 metres of hedgerow, planting crops designed to provide food for birds and insects, and restoring and maintaining a natural pond to encourage aquatic life.

The farm has signed up to a range of Quality Assurance Schemes covering livestock production, livestock transportation and crop production. We have also become members of the Conservation Grade Scheme which gives us access to quality markets for our crops, in return for enhanced stewardship programs aimed at further encouraging wildlife in the hedges and woodland on the farm.
